Board Meeting MINUTES
July 16th, 2008

Park 7 PM
- Call To Order: Meeting called to order by Allan at 7 pm.
- Members Present: Lynn, Deb, and Ryan were not in attendance.
- Secretary’s Report: Corrine
motioned to accept the report. Eric
2nd. All
in favor.
- Treasurer’s Report: Tabled.
Corrine noted that the fiscal year can not be changed.
- Old Business
- Volunteer of the Year: Criteria for nominations? Tabled.
- Summer Fundraiser/Volunteer Work: Jami
has planned a “park clean up” for Sunday, July 20th.
- 2009 Ice Show Theme: Much discussion about various themes that were
submitted. Coaches suggested having specific coaches in charge of sections of
the ice show so they could coordinate songs and groups. Student coaches could
be grouped together. Board liked this idea.
Board said they would like Olympic theme for 2010 Ice Show. The themes
of Disney and Texas Hold ‘Em
and any other idea that come forth (there will be a write in) will be voted on by club members at registration.
- Pictures: Photographer that Corrine
was interested in has not returned calls. Eric
would like to bring information on a photographer he knows.
- Board Member Schedule to cover Ice Schedule: Tabled.
- New Business
- Coaches for next season: All coaches present at the picnic are interested
in returning. Kurt will contact others
not in attendance. He plans to ask everyone back.
- PO Box: Eric needs $29 to
establish and will let us know box number soon (PO Box 284).
- Schedules and Rates: Allan
shared a tentative layout and would like everyone’s feedback by next meeting.
- Open House at Schools: Board would like to see table with flyers at
each open house (MES and MMS) – who is willing to chair this? Julie will also take flyers to YMCA Adventure group. Julie and Corrine will
talk to Ryan about flyers.
- Donation: A donation has been made to Silverblades by the family of
Virginia Knauf. Discussion was centering around what would be most purposeful. It will be put into CD until decided. Corrine
will take care of.
