                                       Board Meeting Minutes

                                             February 20,2008

                                        Crossroads Church 7:00p.m.

·        Call to order: 7p.m

·        Members present- Kurt ,Allan, Deb, Ryan, Lynn, Barb

·        Members excused- Nikki, Chuck

·        Secretary’s report- to change, student coaches not showing up, not the coaches.

1.    Allan’s name is not spelled correctly thru-out,

2.    Eric’s name also.

3.    Coaches taking on too many in private lessons.

4.    The meeting date is the 20^th not the 23^rd

Ryan made the motion to accept mtg. min. Deb 2^nd

·       Treasurer’s report- Chuck is gone but, bill from hockey is 1,000.00. Then a bill from the tights.

·       Lynn made the motion to accept the January 16^th treasurer’s report. Deb 2^nd.

New Business

·       Meeting guests -Brad, Melanie, and Eric.

·       Brad wanted to know how many weeks we contracted with hockey for. And if we can get a 3^rd picture night as the two are late for the families. Deb said that she will keep it on her mind for next year. Otherwise we were right on schedule last year.

·       Melanie wants final song list. The list is tentative because some of the girls might be quitting.  She also passed around the Ice show program cover. Looks good, Kurt would like to see some pine trees and a bench. She will try to add them.

·       Eric talked about putting all the songs on one list.

Coach Liaison Update –Kurt,

·       Discussed Laurie’s position in the Ice show, Behind the curtain, she gave him a list of what her duties are . The board will pay her 150.00 for that.

Ice Show

·       Carol to interview w/ Silverblades Alummi with the board and a feature in the Mosinee Times.

·       585 students and faculty just from the Mosinee elementary school.

·       22 new skaters. This year alone.

·       Melanie will donate a park bench if someone come to get it.

·       Carol is getting articles laminated for 20 cents an inch.

·       It was discussed that we should have the information to hand out to the students, with the sign up dates on them as we selected the registration dates already.

Promotions –Ryan

·       Looking for TV/Radio exposure for the ice show and on air interviews .

·       Parent / child adds are due February 28^th

·        M&I bank sign reserved for the week of the show.

Fundraising and Banquet

             Lynn

·       There are people that still need to pay. Handed this over to Kurt.

·       Stage Stop Every Tuesday, Starting with February 26^th thru March 18^th we eat at Stage Stop (Must mention Mosinee Silverblades) then we will get a check for 15 % of the net profit for the club. :)

·       501 C (3) should be coming soon. Lynn will ask Julie if she can ask Eric to help out in getting an on air interview.

·       Banquet is again at the St. John Lutheran’s church on 11^th Street. Sue and Julie are on my committee. And things are moving along.

Next board meeting is changing from March 19^th to March 12^th, still at the church.

·       Nominations – there are 6 that we know of.

        Next Board Meeting is March 12^th   same place.
