Board Meeting Agenda

February 8, 2010

United Methodist Church 6:30 p.m.

 

1.         Call To Order: 6:56 p.m.

 

2.         Members Present:  All except Eric.

 

3.         Secretary's Report:  Julie motion to approve, Corry second.  All in favor.

 

4.         Treasurer's Report:  Checkbook = $1,941.81, savings = $3,942.  Hold off on putting $5,000 into CD?  Reminder for ticket sales due on March 10 and ice show practice that starts 2/14/10.  Should 1/2 ice bill be paid?  Yes.  Corry motion to accept, Melanie second, all in favor.

                        Membership Committee/Chair - Al Hahn

                        Website Committee/Chair - Al Hahn Done

                        Pro Liaison Committee/Chair - Julie Blomquist

                        Ice Schedule Committee/Chair - Al Hahn -

                        Ice Show Production Committee/Chair - Brad Ludwig - Features, solos duet, trio, etc. Coach will contact skater/parents.  X amount of time alloted for lessons.  Send an e-mail to parents informing them.  Once they get through program once, can go on any feature ice to practice. Feature with coach gets priority play for music.  Then non coach/music.  Competition music last.  Al can get morning ice before school.   Scripts done.  Script practice for girls that have skits.  Committee will get ahold of them.  Solos interviews tonight. 

                        Ice Show & Volunteer Organizer Committee/Chairpersons - Lori Denzin & Shelly                             Kraft - Shelly updated volunteer forms.  In binder.  Al will send an e-mail to members of volunteer spots still open.    Plush - took out of storage shed.  Plush flowers - 35 purchased, necklaces, skates, etc. ordered. 

                        Newsletter/Chair - Shelly Kraft - sending out next week.  Annual meeting April 19, 2010 meeting 6:30, election 5:30.  Crossroads.  Annual banquet, Sat, April 17 approx. 5:30 p.m. pot luck.  

                        Fundraising Committee/Chair - Eric Kaiser

                        Ice Show Set up/Tear Down Committee/Chair - Brad Ludwig

                        Ice Show Props/Decoration Committee/Chair - Julie Blomquist Co-chair - Carol                               Hahn

                        School Ice Show Committee/Chair - Lori Denzin Membership book inside cabinet for list of girls/grades in school show.  Julie to get last year’s permission form to Lori.  Registration for school show for flyer. Sept. 13 for basics and 20th for freestyle @ 6:30 p.m. 

                        Marketing/Advertising Committee/Chair - Corri Lardinois Co-chair Lori Denzin

Corry created a mock program.  Split up crew to sell ads.  More than last year already.  Jamie Schantz will help type.    Channel 7 & 9, Fox community board, NRG media, Mosinee Times, and Wausau Daily Herald contacted.  Have Chamber booked two weeks prior to show.

6.         New Business: 

 

                        Cell phones in locker rooms - make parents aware. 

 

                        Need to pick out next years ice show dates so Megan Rew can schedule around.
