Meeting Minutes

Call to order:  5:13 p.m. all present

Members present:  All present

Secretary's report: Eric 1st - Corry second - all in favor

Treasurers report: Checking $8,137.60; Savings - same Eric 1st Julie second all in favor

Old Business:

            Committee Updates

                        Membership Committee/Chair - Al

                        Freestyle only - can pay in two payments

                        $100 first payment - 2nd payment due 11/8/09  No reimbursement if don't make second                  payment and cannot continue on ice and membership revoked.  Holding first check until              October 1.  Second check will not be held. 

Brad motion to attach slip to receipt to anyone paying 1/2 of membership 2nd payment due 11/8 and if not paid, they are not in good standing with club and cannot skate on ice. Eric second.  All in favor

                        Website Comittee/Chair - Al 

Al has it updated.  Schedule will not be on website.  No abbreviations.  Will spell out.

                        Pro Liaiason Committee/Chair - Julie

Jamie to send form for coaches hours to be billed to Shelly.  Use for all coaches to follow. 

Corry make a motion that coaches fill our a standard form and bill club and they get paid every two weeks.  If not turned in, they will have to wait another two weeks for payment. Brad second.  All in favor.

All coaches to send in paragraph about themselves and send to Shelly to be put into newsletter.

Need to make sure all coaches are objective and mature and posess a positive impact on               students.

                        Ice Schedule Committee/Chair - Al

Eric - motion to table 1/2 hr of ice debate until after registration Brad Second - all in favor

Corry - motion to have group lesson in middle - Brad second - all in favor

                      Ice Show Production Committee/Chair -Brad                           Working on new format to figure production numbers.  Have criteria on how to get to be able to do a feature number.

                        Ice Show & Volunteer Organizer Committee/Chairpersons - Lori & Shelly

                        Costumes - okay to shop around.  They do not all have to be from one place.  Don't pick l long dresses. Can't skate in them.  Coaches can give advise on costumes.        

                        Newsletter/Chair - Shelly

                        How often should they be done?  September, mid-season, end of lesson season - and first night of skating.  Also send as needed.  How do they get to skater? 

                        Fundraising Committee/Chair - Eric

                        Need to finalize.  Wants to have tickets for first day of skating.  Drawing to be held at the last show. 

                        Ice Show Set up/Tear Down Committee/Chair - Brad

        Ice Show Props/Decoration Committee/Chair - Julie Co-chair - Carol  

                        School Ice Show Committee/Chair - Lori

          Marketing/Advertising Committee/Chair - Corry Co - Lori                   

                        Merchandise Committee/Chair - Sheri

Will have samples of free shirt.  10 window stickers left - contact Sheri

New Business

            Registration Nights

Corry made a motion if a coach wants to skate on their own, they pay a walk-on fee for the season. Brad - second.  All in favor.

If a pkg is purchased, can hours be tranferred between skaters.  Eric, made motion that hours are transferrable within family but not within the club.  Brad second.  All in favor. 

If anybody takes any money, must date & check, amount.  Write in memo of check, what it is for.  Can take for costume at registration.  

            Ice Show Discussion

Need to choose theme: 

Shelly made motion to have Olympic theme.  Corry second.  Eric not in favor.  All others in favor. Motion passed.
